Four Little Monkeys

One of our tricks for getting the wiggles out while living in a third floor apartment! (Also pictured: Morgan and Jackson, our favorite just-down-the-street friends!)

He walks!

It's not really a form of transportation right now, so much as a form of entertainment (and a great way to ham it up in a crowd!)

House Guests

We've had so many cool people come visit us at the apartment the last few months! Here's a quick slideshow:

The Hultzes (my brother and his sweet family) plus my parents

Flo, our friend from the Doulos and his friend Corny (that's short for Cornelius in German. You probably knew that. I didn't. I called him Conny for most of the time he was here. He was really nice about it.)

Caroline - I taught her Sunday School class when she was in 4th and 5th grade. Now she's a super-hip college student!

Akira - another friend from the Doulos. (Why is this the only picture I have of you? Sorry, we had so much fun chatting and cooking together I forgot to use my camera! :)

Our Waffle Maker

that we got for Christmas (thanks Grandparents!!!) has been a huge hit. Waffles are now one of my favorite breakfasts and top requests from Hannah AND they freeze great. Stockpiling the freezer with waffles is on my list of things to do before the baby arrives. I'm totally nesting.

Check out Hannah with her beloved blueberries - one in each square. Q. Which side do you think she got that from?

A. Trick question - both! The curls however, totally from Mark's side. I just love them! (Except when we are trying to smooth the lumps that result from making a ponytail. Advice?)

33 Week Update

I know - long time, no blog! Posting pictures and stories of all the cute things the kids have been up to has been way up at the top of my list lately, but somehow I just don't make it past the first few things on the list most days (1. feed the crew 2. get everyone presentable to leave the house 3. go buy more food to feed the crew 4. tell my husband how wonderful he is for taking care of everything else 5. fall asleep)

So I thought I would do a quick post to let you know we're still out here, and despite my silence everything is going great! I'm just past 33 weeks in the pregnancy and the baby is very healthy and active. I've been having a lot of back pain and contractions, but I'm not starting to dilate so they are not alarming so much as they are uncomfortable. I need to take it much, much slower and try to do as little lifting as possible, which is hard because I feel like I've scaled back already so much. Mark, both sets of grandparents, and some sweet friends have been tremendously helpful in this department. I am SO thankful for all loving arms taking care of my kids and the helpful hands washing dishes!

Adam is starting to walk and Hannah is just about to celebrate her 3rd birthday. Next chance I get, I will post lots of pictures and videos of them - they are so cute you won't be able to stand it!
