We're Getting New Presents Today!

Not exactly, but that's what my precious two year old keeps saying, no matter how carefully I enunciate PRESIDENT or try to explain what it means.  Nevertheless, it is a historic day and I'm glad she's in on the excitement, even if she's a little confused about what it's all about.

Other recent Hannah-isms:

"I'm not Hannah. I'm Clara. That's Fritz (points to Adam). You can be the Godfather." Repeat several times a day. (We're still on the Nutcracker theme!)

"I don't like coffee because I'm a kid. When I'm an adult I'll like coffee. And eggs. Not now."

"It's GORGEOUS!!!" (Response to Mark hanging a clock on our wall. I think we have cousin Carolyn to thank for this new vocabulary word!)

"Where's his swimsuit?" (Response to me showing Hannah the new baby's sonogram and explaining how he can "swim" around in the womb)

"I'm just lovin' on him!" (Response to me questioning from another room why Adam is crying)

More Pictures from Christmas

Christmas Morning!

This year the kids had stockings, beautifully handmade by Grandma:

Opening Stockings:

Christmas Brunch, with Grandmother, Grandma and Papa:
I tried some new recipes and they were SO good! We had Amish Breakfast Casserole, Christmas Morning Biscuit Twists (made with fresh whole wheat), and fresh fruit. My mom brought some yummy homemade muffins too. Anyone surprised that I gained 6 pounds in the last month? (Anything for you, baby :)

The kids were still having fun playing with their new toys from the night before and visiting with their grandparents, so we didn't even take them out of their jammies that morning.  After naps, we made birthday cup-cakes for Jesus. In the evening we had a ham for Christmas dinner and went for a drive around town to look at the Christmas lights.
